The launch vehicle meshes are used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence, which permits commercial use and modification provided the original authors are credited. Both models were optimised for real-time browser rendering — decimated, texture-compressed and re-rigged so the simulator can drive their engines, fins, flaps and hatches — but they remain derivative works of the originals below.

Outside of the two vehicle meshes above, the game ships no art assets. The launch tower, the launch mount and flame trench, the tank farm, the terrain and coastline, the village down Highway 4, the sky and starfield, every texture — hull steel, heat-shield tiles, frost, rust, murals — and every sound, from the engine crackle to the generative music score, is built procedurally at load time. There are no image or audio files in the build.
That is partly a size decision and partly a creative one: a world defined in code can be revised the way software is revised, and it keeps the project's original work clearly its own. More on how that works on the About page.
Rendering uses three.js (MIT). The build toolchain is Vite and TypeScript. Model optimisation is done with glTF-Transform. The flight simulation, guidance, scoring and all game systems are original work.
This is an unofficial, fan-made project with no affiliation to, endorsement by, or sponsorship from SpaceX. SpaceX, Starship, Super Heavy, Raptor and Starlink are trademarks of Space Exploration Technologies Corp., referred to here descriptively. "Starbase" refers to the real location in Texas.
